ABANDONED CARS

This might be a painful sight for classic car enthusiasts. Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and BMW just a few of the iconic names whose logos you would never expect to find on vehicles in such a pitiful state. But what might really shock you is that these unfortunate automobiles are not actually abandoned, and their owner is in fact a classic car lover and expert himself. In his early years he has raced with most of the cars and for dozens of years he has deliberately left these cars at the mercy of mother nature.

STEEL GIANT 200 x 360 CM

In a 2-storey kitchen, the Steel Giant determines the look and feel. The origin of this renewed-building with old elements was built from an dilapidated factory in the center of Maastricht. A truly beautiful location.

As soon as the house is completed and decorated I will go back to shoot the final photos. Exciting!

CATHEDRAL DI VINO (SPAIN)

The buildings of the Cathedral de Vino (Spain) were constructed between 1920 and 1922. The factory was a cooperative in the manufacture and sale of wine. In its heyday, local holders would bring their grapes to the winery and they'd use the communal fermenting and bottling plant to produce their own volumes of wine. They trampled the grapes to pulp with their bare feet in wooden tons. Big cast iron presses squeezed the juice out of the pulp.

The scale of these cylinders is absolutely massive, yet they are almost elegant and feminine. Due to large debt, bureaucratic neglect and disuse, the factory quickly became abandoned and forgotten. Listed as an architectural heritage site, this beautiful factory deserves to be preserved within the scenic and rolling hills of Spain.

This series is fantastic to display in restaurants or wine sellers. Salud!

NEW INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPES

ANGELS IN NIGHT

Great to be on the road again and to shoot late in the evening or actually at night. And to behold the mystery of the natural earth in combination with the nearby industrial landscape. It is well reflected in this fascinating twilight zone. Enjoy!

UPDATE! INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPES

BLACK MOONLIT MOUNTAINS

Black coal mountains look mysterious and breathtaking at night. What looks like a volcanic mountain found on some island in the sea, is actually the play of full moonlight reflecting on the hard shimmery particles of black coal. And a layer of white spray is applied by workers as a dust inhibitor, this gives the scene a snowy appearance that is partly visible on these industry-created mountains.
